Supported Group Living – Gibson

The Residential Department, in Princeton, supports and assists each individual to grow and become more independent.  Currently we serve 20 individuals; 10 female and 10 male.  They range from ages 19 years of age 85.  Five (5) attend the Workcenter, 11 attend Life Skills, 2 are getting ready to graduate high school, and 2 are in project search.

They enjoy going on outings to the Frog Follies, Night to Shine at the Antioch Church in Washington, attending church services, fishing tournament sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Thanksgiving Banquet & Dance by the Elks Club & Knights of Columbus,   ball games, shopping, Special Olympics, and participating in the Arc Southwest Indiana banquets and activities.

We have a great team of staff who are genuinely concerned and care about our individuals. They work hard and are greatly appreciated.

We also wanted to give a heartfelt “thank you” to Peabody Coal Mine, Scorosis Club, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, for making each individuals Christmas spectacular.

Thank you!
