Assist persons with disabilities to realize their goals of learning, living and working in the community. Provide advocacy and support systems for individuals addressed above and their families in obtaining programs and opportunities for growth and development. Make efforts to advance the general public’s knowledge, understanding and acceptance of individuals with disabilities within the community.

Employee Awards

Our “Employee of the Month” award recognizes the hard work and dedication of our Direct Support Professionals. Each month, department directors and coordinators submit recommendations of one of their staff to be recognized. The Arc Southwest Indiana Leadership Team meets monthly to select one individual from the nominations to receive the award.

Rural Indiana residents are invited to take a short survey on transportation needs! The survey, available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Indiana_Transportation, is part of a mobility needs assessment that will be included in the Coordinated Public Transit-Human Service Transportation Plans for rural areas. A coordinated plan assesses mobility needs and gaps in transportation service for older adults, individuals with disabilities, people with low incomes, and the general public, and identifies projects that will meet these needs/close the gaps. The survey will be open until January 17, 2021.
