Our History
The Arc of Gibson County began as GCARC in 1963 through efforts of concerned parents. It began by providing services to those with mental disabilities, but in 1979, we expanded our scope of services to meeting the needs of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and other qualifying disabilities eligible with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
In 2016 GCARC rebranded to The Arc of Gibson County to align with The Arc of Indiana and The Arc of the United States.
